Thirty awesome

Super long photo-log: It has happened の I'm thirty!

Why do gals make a huge deal about turning 30?

See I made such a big deal of mine, I demanded to deprive old folks by making 1 less 大寿 cake available in the market
Ha

Oh yay coffee maker ! Atas atas atas

And it now sits on my shiny granite top

Bang pai a bit mad this year with the bp presents.
Note to self- for future Decembers just zip mouth during shopping trips. Don't down there gey kiang give fashion advice about what's nice
Or just shop alone in December-- so sad!

I'm just kidding. I super love them, so tolerant of my work cranky pants behavior

Anyways the TB is gorgeous! Super good shopping bag

Had to lug these back in a cab. Had to call cab. Useless max hahaha

My doting in-laws gave me an early celebration, with great teochew lunch, toasting, shopping, coffee and cake. What's not to love about this family? I'm super blessed.

Presents were comparatively well prepared this year- achievement stamp 1! No more last min scrambling

Even found time to reorg the wardrobe this year n found pretty sheets at a steal- achievement stamp 2!

Had a lil cozy celebration this year

Can u believe these are disposables?

The ultimate 30th cake this year goes to... Bunny! Thanks babe!

We were tired shortly after midnight. Gone are the days we went on til 5am and ordered Mac breakfast . Another reminder that we are all 30yr olds!

Super pampered by the hubs
how you indulge and perhaps pretend to agree when I talk about funny logic of why a gal should have a Tiffany engagement ring and have a Chanel when she already has tonnes of other bags - award winning hubby alert

& I love it when u know which designers' works I adore

I heart u max!

Emo time:

I've been told that our 30s will be for us to enjoy and I guess it's true to most extents.

My 20s , probably like most others, was for growing up.

At 20 sharp, I lost a dear grandparent & learnt about death and that funerals were not something to be afraid of, but a chance to empathize.
At 21 I broke up a very close friendship and later at 25 mended it. And I learnt to manage my feelings and think deeper than misleading surfaces.
At 23, called off an emotionally straining relationship, much to the disappointment of my family. But God has his plans because I found my way shortly after. That I never regretted.
Short episodes of guys came and went before I left it up to Him above and when I did , love happened and I later learnt he has done the same too. To place all trust in God.
At 27, married the love of my life. I learnt maturity and respect, all on top of love.
At 27, owned our very own house and car. Learnt financial responsibility. Learnt that building the perfect cave do take time and thus learnt patience.
At 28, found the strength to switch jobs. Rotated 3 times within the new job with each time mor challenging.
At 29 , was promoted. I learnt a lot, especially how it isn't possible to please everybody, how it isn't right to avoid touchy relationships, so I'm learning how to manage them all.

There's much more , definitely.

So the next stage, is definitely exciting:)

Little anecdote to end off-

Me to hubs: see this photo, so chio right. 30yrs old leh, scared what. U should put this as my call photo n show the world how hot ur wife is when I call yeaaaaahahahaha

Hubs: ok send me
(15 secs later)

Hub: did u send me?

Me: why? Scared u don't have right... Chio right?!?!

Splurge of November

Got myself broke on these.

The little things in life.

They may be material, so I don't kill myself for them.

And so everyone needs their little joys
(And should too respect others' right to theirs )

Just chewing.
