.. haven been updating..

been busy with:

- all parents bdays, 4 of them in the span of 30 days. presents and dinners.. (it hit me now that I will, in less than 2 months, have official parents-in-laws)

- ROM preparation.. yes, booked the beautiful location, one of the best photographers, bought the dress (but still thinking).. still looking for make-up artist/hairstylist. Help... i need someone good cos we are making an artbook from the photographer.. and u know me. Nature hasnt been kind to me so i need someone who can work miracles

- busy with multiple back to back meetings, the usual crap + additional things to think about

- saving money for wedding and reno, while doing retail therapy. I really mean this: i think you need at least $100K savings to get married comfortably.... unless you want to take money from parents.

On the proposal... we've had these thrown at us a million times
hopefully by having the answers posted here, we can save buckets of saliva

Q: How did he do it?
A: He just did it. haha. not v helpful. Ok he brought me to Goodwood Park which I always commented "what a nice lil place", but the dinner was way too expensive (for food, as a general rule). Then he said we should walk around the poolside after dinner, and somehow we walked round, to a carpark and back to the lobby, and then he said to go back to the poolside again... and round we went
So we sat
and I looked over the pool, turned back to look at him, he was digging into his coat pocket and laughed when he tooked out a black box
and he asked the question
I laughed and asked him why there wasnt a speech so he had to make one up on the spot

Q: What was the speech?
A: No details. The gist was happiness and fate. And he is eloquent so it wasnt much of a problem for him

Q: What was your reaction?
A: I said Yes la!!!

Q: Did you get to tell him which ring you prefer?
A: Yes, but i only said before that every gal's dream is to own a Tiffany & Co ring, and I liked round cut simplicity. The rest, up to imagination.
I subsequently changed my mind on tinfanny knowing how much more it costs than what you can get at normal jewellers or stores (impractical ahem). but the dude never changes his mind

Q: Did you set a carat quota?
A: No because I dont know what carat looks good on me. But this one turned out splendid.

Q: How big is the stone?
A: Why dont you guess?

Q: Did he get down on one knee?
A: Yes, but i was the one bothered about how it might dirty his pants (im so wife material)

Q: Did you expect this? Were you touched?
A: We dont go for GoodwoodPark-dinners so yes I expected this. In fact I was waiting. But I am still touched. It need not be a full surprise but it is the thought that he placed in this whole thing, going through the hassle to get what I think is a perfect ring... in a perfect place..

Q: Are you pregnant? (actually siaozabor was the only one who asked this)
A: NO. this is not a shotgun. If you ask you dont know me at all.

Q; When is the big day?
A: Still deciding...

+ The one with the last 20-something at Siloso+

I booked a Siloso Beach Resort room for Dan

for his last 20-something bday...
SO SAD!
old old old...
hahah

I have nothing but raves for this place.. Just look how pretty!

The Bday Boy was of cos v happy w the place..

We are making this our get-away place from now on..

Had the room decorated..

not by me though. im lazy.

the hotel has this service! under a package.. $350 for a night stay

We then went exploring the island...

Outside Images of Singapore. We din go in cos we refused to pay $10 for entry to see boring history. Our bday boy isnt even a SINGAPOREAN.

Dan says he really wants to go to Underwater world. so I brought him there

He loved the underwater life, which I dont care about

So he took the camera, snapped away, and I dont bother to upload them

other than this eel, who look so damn fierce. the mouth kept opening and closing like its cursing the shit out of me

OK then we went to watch the dolphin show, but there are no pics, all were video

before the show this STUPID peacock go and parade in front of everyone

den gena harrass by an indian gal. this one i thought was due the peacock, and cos i hate birds, i tot it was damn hilarious

i hate birds.

After that we went for the Luge and skyride, Cinemax log rite, and 4D pirate show.. all which we could not take photos of

And after that we went for a nice quiet dinner , had beer and walked, all by the beach .

Had breakfast by the beach too, in tropical setting

we walked by the pool after breakfast, look how beautiful,,,

got a cab home from work.
upon reaching the entrance of the condo, the driver asked

"Have to turn in harh??

in a super reluctant tone, almost not hinting us not to
IDIOT QUESTION
what did he expect?
I pay you 20 times a bus fare, for me to walk all the way back isit????

Told him YES, turn in
cos we are bloody tired and wanna go home
no room for courtesy its-ok-nv-minds

he was unhappy
while he had sped the way home like a monkey up a banana tree
he proceeded to make each left/right turn

in

10 seconds each.

exaggerating. my grandma without license and spectacles can turn faster than that

it took 2 years to reach our block from the entrance
another 5 for him to give us change of $1.20. and he purposely pass us the $1 first and took damn long to take the 20 cents
Over my dead body to tell this sort of driver "keep the change"

so i climbed out
and closed the door

in 10 seconds.
